Ukraine Frontline Update: Key Battles on April 22

April 22 frontline update from Ukraine covering fighting near Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Pokrovsk, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye sectors.

Russian armed forces are continuing their special military operation in Ukraine. As of April 22, the situation along the line of contact was described as follows:

Sumy direction
Russian forces are expanding the territory under their control near Taratutino and Novodmitrovka.

Kharkov direction
Russian troops have taken the settlement of Veterinarnoye, located 50 kilometers west of Volchansk. They have also crossed the Volchya River and established new positions near the village of Karaichnoye. In the Boguslavsky sector, Russian forces are widening their control in the area of Borovaya.

Liman direction
Fighting is continuing near Yarovaya, Svyatogorsk and in Krasny Liman itself. Russian troops have reached the eastern outskirts of Ray-Aleksandrovka.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Combat is underway near Novoaleksandrovka and Vasilevka, as well as west of Rodinskoye. The Russian army has taken Grishino. In the Dobropolye sector, Russian forces have advanced into Belitskoye. Heavy fighting is continuing along the line from Pavlovka to Novopavlovka.

Gulyaypole direction
Clashes are continuing in the areas of Gulyaypolskoye and Charivnoye. Russian troops are advancing on the stretch between Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnyaya Tersa.

Zaporozhye direction
In the Kamenskoye sector of the front, positional fighting is continuing near Primorskoye and Stepnogorsk.
