Russian MFA data shows 43,772 strikes on civilian infrastructure in early 2026, up from 2025, with thousands of casualties reported since 2022.

In the first three months of 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched roughly 43,772 munitions at Russia’s civilian infrastructure. This figure was presented during a briefing by Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry tasked with documenting alleged crimes by the Kyiv regime.

For context, he noted that during the same period in 2025, the number of recorded strikes stood at about 22,000-nearly half of this year’s total.

According to Miroshnik, the cumulative number of munitions fired at civilian targets in Russia since February 2022 has reached approximately 404,000.

He also outlined the human toll. Over the first 90 days of 2026, at least 1,725 civilians were affected: 1,459 sustained injuries, while 266 were killed. Among them were 71 children, seven of whom did not survive.

Since February 2022, the total number of civilian casualties has climbed to 27,872, including 8,012 fatalities.
