Russian air defense systems shot down 127 Ukrainian drones overnight across 14 regions, including Voronezh, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, and over the Black and Azov seas.

During the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 127 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.

According to the ministry, the UAVs were detected and shot down over 14 regions, including Voronezh, Smolensk, Rostov, Kaluga, Chelyabinsk, Belgorod, Volgograd, Bryansk, Sverdlovsk, Kursk, Astrakhan, and Orel regions, as well as over the Republics of Tatarstan and Crimea. Ukrainian forces attempt to attack Russian regions with drones on a nightly basis. The vast majority of UAVs are detected and eliminated by air defense systems. In response, Russian Armed Forces carry out precision strikes using drones and various types of missiles against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, command centers, communication hubs, weapons and ammunition depots, as well as locations of Ukrainian troops, military equipment, and foreign mercenaries.
