Fighting Intensifies in Krasny Liman as Ukraine Counters

Ukrainian forces counterattack in Krasny Liman to slow Russian advance toward Svyatogorsk, as heavy fighting and reinforcements intensify.

Ukrainian forces are attempting counterattacks in Krasny Liman in an effort to slow the advance of Russian troops toward Svyatogorsk, according to Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

He reports that heavy fighting is ongoing in the area, with Ukrainian units continuing to move reinforcements into Krasny Liman. These efforts, he suggests, are aimed at holding back Russian продвижение, which is seen as critical for further movement toward Svyatogorsk.

Pushilin also points to increased Ukrainian activity along other sections of the front. In particular, he notes attempts to counterattack at the junction of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Zaporozhye region, and the Dnepropetrovsk region, where Ukrainian forces are deploying substantial reserves in response to perceived threats.

Earlier, Pushilin had described a gradual improvement in the tactical situation in Konstantinovka, where Russian units continue their assault.
