Konstantinovka Battles: Russian Forces Push Toward N20

Russian forces press Konstantinovka from several directions as fighting expands and the N20 route to Druzhkovka faces a growing threat.

According to military correspondent Yury Kotenok, Russian forces are fighting in several districts of Konstantinovka.

He reported combat activity in the areas of Gora, Shanghai, Zheleznodorozhny, Promyshlenny, Donetsky, Berestovy, Yuzhny Solnechny, 7 Vetrov, Krasny Gorodok, and the industrial zone of the zinc plant.

Kotenok said Ukrainian defensive positions inside the city are coming under regular strikes from aviation, artillery, and drones. Russian units are now pressing Konstantinovka from the east and west, while also advancing toward the city from the north, from the direction of Novodmitrovka.

According to the military correspondent, Russian control over Novodmitrovka and Ilyinovka creates a serious threat to Ukrainian communications north of Konstantinovka. He believes that a simultaneous push from both settlements could allow Russian troops to reach the N20 highway, which links Konstantinovka with Druzhkovka, and cut off that route.

In that scenario, the Ukrainian garrison could face supply shortages and be forced either to surrender or attempt a breakout under fire.

The Russian Defense Ministry previously claimed the capture of Novodmitrovka on the Konstantinovka axis. Military channels had also earlier reported that Russian forces had taken Ilyinovka in the same sector.
