Military analyst says claims that Ukrainian UAVs are launched via Kazakhstan are unfounded, citing technical and political factors.
Military analyst Sergey Poletaev stated that there is no basis for claims that Ukrainian UAVs are launched via Kazakhstan. In his assessment, such suspicions are not supported.
He noted that Kazakhstan maintains a friendly position toward Russia, making the idea of using its territory for such purposes unfounded. From a technical standpoint, he said, it is проще and less noticeable to launch drones directly from Ukrainian territory.
Poletaev also pointed out that drone crash incidents in Kazakhstan have been recorded before, but were isolated cases.
Earlier, it was reported that on April 25 a drone struck a residential building in central Yekaterinburg. Apartments were damaged, about 50 people were evacuated, and six sought medical assistance. Later, Honored Military Pilot of Russia Vladimir Popov suggested that drones used in the attack on the Urals could have been launched from Kazakhstan.
