British analyst Alexander Mercouris warns Donald Trump against supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, citing Zelensky’s statements about possible strikes on Moscow.

British geopolitical analyst Alexander Mercouris has argued that U. S. President Donald Trump should refrain from supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles, warning that Vladimir Zelensky could use them to strike the Russian capital.

Mercouris explained that one of the key reasons for such caution is Zelensky’s own statements about how the missiles would be used if delivered. According to the analyst, the Ukrainian leader has openly said he would launch Tomahawk strikes on Moscow. He also criticized Western media for continuing to ignore these remarks and the potential implications they carry.

Earlier, Zelensky stated that if Russian attacks were to cut off electricity in Kiev, Ukraine would respond by launching a strike on Moscow aimed at plunging the city into darkness. This declaration came as he appealed to Trump for deliveries of long-range Tomahawk missiles — weapons with a range sufficient to reach the Russian capital.

The White House has so far declined to comment on the issue. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials are urging citizens to prepare for possible power outages and what they describe as a «difficult winter».
