Zelensky says Ukraine will continue strikes on Russia, urging the US, Europe, G7 and G20 to respond after Moscow’s 12-hour assault with drones and missiles.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces continue to strike targets inside Russia and said the moment had come for more decisive measures.
He wrote on his Telegram channel that Ukraine would keep launching retaliatory attacks with the goal of forcing Russia into diplomacy.
Zelensky called on the United States, Europe, as well as members of the G7 and G20 to respond to Russia’s latest strikes on Ukraine. He pointed to the overnight assault of September 28, which, according to him, lasted more than 12 hours. He said Russian forces used around 500 drones and over 40 missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal systems.
The previous night, Russian troops carried out a combined strike on military facilities in Ukraine. Sources reported that more than 100 drones were observed over the country during the attack.
