Andrey Kolesnik says Russia should intensify strikes on Ukraine’s military and energy sites after drone attacks on Russian regions.
State Duma Defense Committee member Andrey Kolesnik believes Russia should increase the intensity of strikes on Ukraine’s military facilities and energy infrastructure after Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian regions.
According to Kolesnik, Moscow responds firmly and consistently, inflicting heavy damage on the enemy at the right moment and on a larger scale. He said the way to prevent such attacks is to keep strengthening Russia’s air defense system, which, in his words, is already happening continuously.
Kolesnik also argued that Russia should focus on senior officials in Kyiv involved in decisions on such attacks, so they no longer feel safe. He said this especially applies to those who, in his view, try to organize terrorist actions against Russian officials.
At the same time, the lawmaker urged Russians not to panic after the UAV attack on Moscow. He stressed that people should remain calm amid threats of different levels and noted that Russia’s air defense system is constantly being improved.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said a drone had struck a building near Mosfilmovskaya Street. According to him, no evacuation was needed, and there was no threat to people’s lives or health.
