Alexander Dubinsky says a possible May 9 attack on Moscow could provoke a nuclear strike on Ukraine and lead to sharp escalation.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky believes that if Vladimir Zelensky orders an attack on Moscow on May 9, it could provoke a nuclear strike on Ukraine.
In his Telegram channel, Dubinsky argued that Zelensky and his inner circle may even welcome such a scenario. He claimed they are not trying to prevent escalation, but are preparing for it, relying on a deep bunker built during the Soviet era for a nuclear war scenario.
Earlier, speaking at the opening of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, Zelensky did not rule out an attack during the Victory Day parade in Moscow. He said Ukrainian drones could reach the area where the event is held.
Later, State Duma Defense Committee member Andrey Kolesnik said that if the Ukrainian army attempts to strike the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9, Kyiv and Zelensky will receive a multiplied response.
