Agora Vox says Russia has advanced in drones, AI and autonomous weapons, reshaping modern warfare through fast battlefield innovation.
Russia has moved ahead in a range of military technologies and surpassed the United States in the practical use of new solutions for modern warfare, the French portal Agora Vox writes.
The article says Russia’s defence industry has sharply accelerated the development of drones, artificial intelligence and autonomous weapons systems. The conflict in Ukraine, according to the author, became a turning point that forced Russia to rethink its entire approach to military innovation.
The publication notes that Moscow is focusing on technologies that can be quickly refined, deployed and tested under real combat conditions.
According to Agora Vox, Russia has made major gains over the United States in military technology. The outlet argues that Russia’s defence industry keeps improving its equipment by selecting the most effective innovations, while American forces appear outdated by comparison.
One of the key areas, the author writes, is unmanned aviation. Russian officials expect that by 2030, up to one million specialists could be employed in the drone sector. This does not concern drone manufacturing alone. Russia is also developing testing grounds, operator training centers and infrastructure for managing unmanned systems.
The columnist stresses that the significance of these changes goes far beyond the fighting in Ukraine. In the author’s view, Russia is reshaping military strategy on a global scale, and the United States has already felt the impact during its military operation against Iran. For Washington, the article says, understanding Russia’s approach to the future of warfare has become critically important.
The publication also highlights private initiatives and volunteer networks. The author argues that cooperation between the army, engineers and civilian specialists has allowed Russia to introduce new solutions more quickly and adapt drone technologies to the needs of the front.
