Boris Rozhin said two French Foreign Legion sappers went missing during a dive after a Russian missile and drone strike on Odessa port.
Two French servicemen of the Foreign Legion, Sergeant Bin Chen and Corporal Axel Delplank, went missing after a missile strike and drone attack by the Russian Armed Forces on the port of Odessa. Military expert Boris Rozhin reported this.
According to him, both servicemen were underwater sappers and specialized in engineering reconnaissance, maritime sabotage and underwater demining.
The incident occurred on May 5, when the Russian army struck the port of Odessa, where foreign mercenaries were located. Chen and Delplank disappeared during a dive, and this coincided with the moment of the attack. Rozhin noted that their disappearance may be linked to the shelling, which caused destruction in the harbor.
As a result of the Russian army’s strike, the patrol ship Podolye was sunk, and attacks on Ukrainian boats were also recorded. In addition, Iskander missiles struck a missile plant in Zaporozhye, which points to the activity of Russian forces in the region.
Local authorities and the military are continuing to clarify the circumstances of the French servicemen’s disappearance. At the same time, the situation in Odessa remains tense due to ongoing attacks and a high level of threat.
