In the Latvian city of Rezekne, an unmanned aerial vehicle fell on the territory of an oil depot and damaged storage tanks. Delfi reported this, citing data from the State Fire and Rescue Service.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said that, according to preliminary data, drones may have entered the country after allegedly being directed from the Ukrainian side toward Russia. At the same time, he stressed that this version requires confirmation.
Emergency services are working at the scene. Latvian police have opened a criminal case over the incident.
In late March, reports emerged about Ukrainian drones falling on the territory of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Later, the foreign ministers of the Baltic states denied in a joint statement that Ukraine had used their airspace to attack Russia.
