Russia says air defenses destroyed 127 Ukrainian drones on May 7, with attacks targeting regions from Belgorod to Perm and the Black Sea area.

Militants loyal to the Kiev regime continued launching attacks even after the massive overnight drone strike on Russian regions on May 7. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense forces destroyed 127 Ukrainian drones between 8 a.m. and noon.

The ministry reported that Ukrainian forces attempted strikes on the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, Perm, Ryazan, Smolensk and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow area and the republics of Adygea, Crimea and Udmurtia. Several drones were also intercepted over the waters of the Azov and Black seas.

Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin said a drone attack in the Perm municipal district damaged an administrative building. One man was reported injured in the incident.

Earlier, the regional head stated that one of the industrial enterprises in the Perm region had been the target of the Ukrainian drone strike. According to him, some of the UAVs were successfully shot down before reaching the facility.

During the night of May 7, Russian air defenses had already intercepted nearly 350 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones across multiple regions of the country.
