Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern has developed special drone ports for the deployment, maintenance and automated launch of interceptor UAVs. Dmitry Savitsky, deputy general director of the concern for products for the air navigation system and dual-use products, told TASS in an interview.

According to him, the creation of such drone ports and their integration into security systems for critical infrastructure facilities have become a new area of the concern’s work in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Savitsky noted that placing a fleet of interceptor UAVs at special drone ports makes it possible to reduce response time and improve the effectiveness of their use. This is achieved through automation of UAV launch, landing and maintenance.

He added that Almaz-Antey has several unique developments in this area. These include special drone ports for interceptor UAVs, as well as solutions for integrating them into the security systems of various facilities.
