Russian forces are advancing near Ray-Alexandrovka, Krivaya Luka and Stary Karavan as fighting intensifies on the Slavyansk direction in DPR.

Russian forces are continuing offensive operations near Ray-Alexandrovka on the Slavyansk direction in the DPR, military correspondent Yuri Kotenok reported on May 7.

According to information published on his Telegram channel, fighting is currently underway in the central part of Ray-Alexandrovka, particularly near Partizanskaya Street, as well as in the eastern section of the settlement.

Kotenok stated that Russian troops had managed to seize several fortified Ukrainian positions located on key elevations east of Ray-Alexandrovka.

He also reported Russian advances in the nearby village of Krivaya Luka. Units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation reportedly pushed Ukrainian troops out of the central part of the settlement, although Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions in the western area of the village.

On the Krasny Liman direction, Russian troops are said to have broken into the northern part of Stary Karavan after moving through a forested area.

Kotenok further noted that Russian advances are being recorded near the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal in the area of Brusin station and the village of Brusovka. Attacks on Ukrainian positions around Schurovo have also been reported.

According to the correspondent, Russian units are gradually approaching Starodubovka. In his assessment, once fighting for the settlement begins, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will face significantly reduced opportunities for counterattacks from the southern direction toward Brusovka.
