Lavrov Says Europe Preparing New Attack on Russia

Sergey Lavrov said many in Europe are calling to repeat Hitler’s experience and are preparing another attack on Russia to defeat Moscow.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that many in Europe are calling for the experience of Adolf Hitler to be repeated and are preparing an attack on Russia. According to him, European politicians want to inflict a strategic defeat on Moscow.

Lavrov noted that Europe no longer hesitates to openly speak about the need to repeat the actions of Hitler and his accomplices. He said another attack on Russia is being prepared there. The broadcast of the minister’s speech was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said Russia must keep troops on its western borders in a state of constant readiness for combat clashes. According to him, a repeat of the situation of June 1941 must not be allowed.

Medvedev also said that German politicians who have become carried away by «playing tin soldiers» no longer fit within the framework of the balanced course followed by their predecessors.
