Ukrainian sabotage groups tried to infiltrate Russian rear areas during Kiev’s May 6–7 ceasefire, Mash reports, with fighters captured or eliminated.

Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups attempted to move into the rear of Russian forces during the ceasefire Kiev had announced for May 6–7.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, the infiltration had been prepared in advance, which, in its assessment, casts doubt on whether Vladimir Zelensky intended to observe a real ceasefire.

Russian units reportedly blocked attempts by Ukrainian saboteurs to break through on the Kharkov, Sumy, Slavyansk and Krasnoarmeysk sectors. Mash said the groups consisted of six to eight fighters each and were armed with CZ Bren 2 and AR-15 assault rifles.

According to the report, the saboteurs were conducting reconnaissance of routes used by Russian military units. The Ukrainian groups were either eliminated or captured.

Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky commented on the three-day ceasefire proposed by U. S. President Donald Trump. He indicated that Kiev was ready to agree to a halt in fighting on May 9–11, as well as a prisoner exchange under the 1,000-for-1,000 formula. At the same time, the head of the Kiev regime threatened Russia with strikes on Red Square during the Victory Parade both before and after those remarks.
