Kramatorsk Fortified With Dragon’s Teeth Defenses
Ukrainian forces are reportedly fortifying Kramatorsk with dragon’s teeth barriers as Russian troops advance near Slavyansk in Donbass.
Ukrainian forces have begun preparing Kiev-controlled Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic for defense, according to reports from military-linked sources.
Available information indicates that large numbers of anti-tank «dragon’s teeth» are being brought into the city. Photos posted online reportedly show Ukrainian servicemen installing defensive barriers inside the urban area.
«Dragon’s teeth» are pyramid-shaped concrete blocks used to slow the movement of armored vehicles and strengthen defensive lines.
Earlier, military correspondents reported that Russian troops were gradually closing a ring around Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. The two cities are part of an agglomeration regarded as a key defensive stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass.
Several days ago, media reports said the battle for Donbass was approaching a decisive stage. They noted that Russian forces had moved close to Piskunovka, roughly 15 kilometers from Slavyansk.
