Russian Air Defenses Down 27 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Russian air defenses destroyed 27 Ukrainian drones overnight over Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions, with no casualties reported so far.

Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 27 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, Russia’s Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the attack was repelled between midnight and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time over the Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions.

Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev gave a separate update on the situation in his region. He said on-duty air defense units detected and shot down five drones over three districts. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties or damage. A drone attack alert remains in effect across the entire region.

In the Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar said the air attack was also countered overnight. One drone was destroyed in the Millerovsky District. No reports of casualties or damage on the ground have been received so far, though the information is still being verified. The drone threat warning in the region also remains in place.
