Oleg Suvorov says Russian assault troops must keep moving to survive as Ukrainian forces destroy buildings and use UAV crews against front-line units.
Oleg Suvorov, deputy commander of an assault company in the separate volunteer reconnaissance and assault brigade «Veterany» and a Hero of Russia, said Ukrainian troops destroy buildings as soon as they detect Russian fighters inside.
According to him, under these conditions, constant movement forward is the only way to survive. Suvorov explained that attempts to stop and hold positions inside buildings lead to heavy losses, so assault units have to keep moving until they reach the positions of enemy UAV operators. Only after those drone crews are suppressed can Russian assault troops consolidate on captured lines.
He said that standing still or trying to hide in buildings makes no sense, because such structures are quickly demolished. In his view, the only viable tactic is to enter, move on immediately, and keep advancing despite the difficulty.
Speaking about the current situation on the front, Suvorov said Russian forces are continuing a steady and confident advance. Earlier, he and his unit took part in the battles for Avdeevka and Dzerzhinsk in the DNR, as well as in the operation near Sudzha in the Kursk Region.
