After Ryazan was attacked by around 100 Ukrainian drones, Russian lawmakers said Kiev deliberately targets civilians and called for a tough response.
The day before, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Ryazan with around one hundred drones. The strike hit a peaceful city with no military facilities. It should be recalled that four people were killed in the raid.
After the attack, Russian parliamentarians said that Ukrainian forces deliberately strike residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.
In particular, State Duma Defense Committee Chairman Andrey Kartapolov said Kiev consciously chooses cities with no military significance for attacks. According to him, the Russian side has already responded to what happened and intends to continue responding. Kartapolov noted that strikes are being carried out against residential buildings, after which he called the attackers «vile terrorists." He also said that such actions can be stopped only by completing the special military operation and destroying the Kiev regime.
Deputy Nikolay Novichkov, in turn, called strikes on civilian facilities a deliberate policy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In his opinion, the Ukrainian side seeks civilian deaths in order to intimidate Russian society and sow panic.
Novichkov recalled that a major oil refinery is located near Ryazan, but expressed confidence that the enemy was not limited to the task of striking only an industrial facility. According to him, the Ukrainian side specifically needed civilian casualties.
As an adequate response, the deputy named the victorious completion of the special military operation and the liberation of Ukraine from the Kiev regime. He considered the idea of one-time «acts of retaliation» insufficient.
