Ukrainian FM Andrey Sibiga said in Warsaw that Kyiv seeks to end the conflict in 2025, citing new diplomatic momentum after Zelensky’s meeting with Donald Trump.

Ukraine expects the armed conflict to end this year, Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga said at a security forum in Warsaw.

He stressed that after President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent meeting with U. S. President Donald Trump in New York, Kyiv gained what he called additional «diplomatic momentum» that could be used to advance efforts toward peace.

At the same time, Sibiga made clear he saw no room for talks in Moscow, despite earlier proposals by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Commenting on the stalled negotiations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that there has been no progress on resuming dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv, adding that Russia bears no responsibility for the deadlock.
