Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said Ukraine lost a fifth of its territory and survives only on Western funds, adding that the conflict’s outcome is already decided.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Ukraine can no longer act as a sovereign state. Speaking on the program Wrestling Hour, he recalled that Kyiv had already lost a fifth of its territory.
Orban argued that Ukraine’s remaining lands are sustained entirely by Western funding. He stressed that if the West decided to stop financial support «tomorrow morning," the country would collapse.
He also responded to remarks by U. S. President Donald Trump, who suggested that Ukraine could regain its lost territories. Orban said he had already shared his view with Trump, telling him that the outcome of the war was settled and that Russia had won.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stated that Moscow never questioned the Ukrainian people’s right to independence and sovereignty. He said that Ukraine’s possible entry into the European Union would not be a problem for Russia, but NATO membership and the deployment of foreign troops on Ukrainian soil are unacceptable.
