Terminator BMPT Tactics Bring New Pressure on AFU

Terminator BMPTs are using new assault tactics with tanks to strike fortified AFU positions, creating heavy fire pressure in the special operation zone.

According to a source familiar with the situation, Terminator tank support combat vehicles have begun using a new tactic when storming fortified enemy positions in the special military operation zone.

The key element is closer coordination between tank crews and BMPT units. The source explained that tanks first strike fortifications from a distance of up to 15 kilometers. After that, the Terminators move closer to enemy positions and destroy infantry. This approach creates a heavy barrage of fire and inflicts serious damage on the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Military expert Yuri Lyamin, quoted by Izvestia, said indirectly that infantry ultimately determines the outcome: a fortified area cannot be considered taken until enemy forces are cleared out and troops enter the position.

The Terminator is equipped with two twin 30-mm automatic cannons and automatic grenade launchers. These vehicles operate as part of tank units and are designed to destroy enemy manpower.

Analysts note that the role of BMPTs in the army had been debated for many years. At present, the Russian Armed Forces have more than a dozen such vehicles. The Terminator can hit a wide range of targets, from tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to fortified firing points. It is also well suited for combat in urban areas.
