Russian Forces Advance on Krasnoarmeisk Axis in DPR

Denis Pushilin reported Russian advances near Krasnoarmeisk in the DPR, with heavy fighting in urban areas and progress around the Dobropolye salient.

Russian forces are pressing forward on the Krasnoarmeisk axis in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, the head of the DPR, said in a broadcast on Rossiya 24.

According to him, the advance is taking place across several key sectors, including the Dobropolye salient. Pushilin stressed that, contrary to Kyiv’s claims that the threat has been removed, Russian units are not only holding their positions but steadily expanding their zone of control.

Heavy clashes are also reported near Udachnoe and inside Krasnoarmeisk itself (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk). Pushilin described the fighting in urban areas as especially difficult but noted that Russian troops continue to move forward step by step.

Krasnoarmeisk is a district center in the northwestern part of the DPR and a major transport hub, with both rail and road routes linking Donetsk to Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk region.
