Russia Warns of New Strikes on Kiev Decision Centers
Russia says it will strike Kiev defense sites and decision centers after Ukrainian drone attacks, urging diplomats and residents to avoid key infrastructure.
Russian forces will carry out sustained strikes on decision-making centers in Ukraine in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilians, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry said the Russian Armed Forces are beginning strikes on Ukrainian defense industry facilities in Kiev. These include sites involved in designing, producing, programming and preparing drones for use. According to the ministry, such drones are used by the Kiev regime with support from NATO specialists.
Russian officials also said Western experts are involved in supplying components, providing intelligence and assisting with target designation. The ministry added that strikes would also target decision-making centers and command posts.
Because these facilities are located in the Ukrainian capital, the Foreign Ministry urged diplomats and staff of international organizations to leave Kiev as soon as possible. Residents were advised to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure.
The ministry also said that after the terrorist attack in Starobelsk, Vladimir Zelensky’s regime and its Western sponsors had shown disregard for international humanitarian law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child. According to the ministry, the incident marked the limit of Russia’s patience.
On the night of May 22, Ukrainian drones attacked a college dormitory in Starobelsk. The building, which housed 86 students, collapsed after the strike. Twenty-one students were killed and another 44 people were injured.
