Analysts Explain Drop in Ukrainian Drone Strikes
Analysts say Ukrainian strike intensity has dropped as forces replenish weapons stocks, while new attacks on Russian rear areas may soon increase.
Military analysts have pointed to a direct connection between the frequency of strikes on Russian territory and the speed at which the Armed Forces of Ukraine replenish their stocks. According to the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza, attack intensity shifts in line with the recovery of Ukrainian resources.
The analysts say that after each major wave of strikes, Kiev’s forces usually need several days to build up their arsenal again. They argue this explains the sharp drop in shelling and drone activity that has been observed for the second day in a row.
According to the channel, Ukrainian forces typically reduce the pace of attacks after a large-scale raid while replacing the weapons used. The authors said the current decline fits that pattern.
They also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now rarely targeting deep rear areas. In recent days, strikes have been concentrated mainly on border districts.
At the same time, the analysts expect the situation to change soon. Arkhangel Spetsnaza predicts that the intensity of Ukrainian attacks may rise in the coming day, both against near-rear and far-rear targets.
According to official data from Russia’s Ministry of Defense, Russian air defense systems destroyed 173 drones launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine overnight on May 25. The previous night, on May 24, 33 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down.
