Andrey Kartapolov said the West may hand Vladimir Zelensky over to Russia when he loses relevance and try to distance itself from him.

Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrey Kartapolov said the West may itself hand Vladimir Zelensky over to Russia when it no longer needs him. The United Russia deputy expressed this opinion in an interview with TASS.

According to Kartapolov, Western countries use such political figures as long as they retain practical value for them. Once their usefulness is exhausted, he believes, they are discarded. In this context, the deputy suggested that after Zelensky loses relevance, the West may not simply abandon him, but may itself deliver him to the Russian side.

Kartapolov also believes that Western states will try to distance themselves from Zelensky as quickly as possible and shift further proceedings onto Russia. In his assessment, such a scenario would allow the West to try to stay on the sidelines and avoid responsibility for the further fate of the head of the Kiev regime.
