Military analyst Anatoly Matviychuk named possible Oreshnik targets in Kiev, including defense plants, command posts and key airfields.

Ballistic missiles from Russia’s Oreshnik system can be used against fortified facilities, underground communications and other protected structures, according to military analyst and retired special forces colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.

He said the system is designed for strikes on industrial sites and buried infrastructure. Speaking about Kiev specifically, Matviychuk pointed to defense enterprises, underground command posts and government buildings as potential targets.

According to the retired colonel, possible targets in the Ukrainian capital could include the Arsenal plant, the Artem plant and the Kristall plant. He also named the buried command post of the former Kiev Military District, the building of Ukraine’s Verkhovny Soviet and, possibly, Zelensky’s office.

Matviychuk added that key facilities are located not only inside Kiev itself, but also around the city and across Kiev Region. Among them, he mentioned a buried intelligence command post, military airfields in Vasilkov and Belaya Tserkov, as well as the Borispol and Zhulyany airports.
