Quiet Ukrainian Drones Reported on Front Line

New quieter Ukrainian drones have appeared on the front line, making them harder to detect as Russian troops continue using standard countermeasures.
A new type of drone has appeared on the front line with Ukrainian forces: its propeller-motor system runs noticeably quieter than that of most standard UAVs. A serviceman from the drone systems unit of Russia’s Southern Military District, who uses the call sign «Donor," told RIA Novosti about the development.
According to him, the reduced noise level is what makes these upgraded unmanned aerial vehicles harder to counter. They are more difficult to detect in time and identify while in the air.
The serviceman noted, however, that the main methods of defense have not changed. FPV drones can still be targeted with a smoothbore shotgun, a directional signal jammer known as an anti-drone gun, or dome-type electronic warfare systems designed to suppress drone activity across a wider area.
