Sever Channel Reports Ukrainian Losses in Sumy Region
Severny Veter reports heavy Ukrainian losses and cites FPV drone footage from Sumy Region, warning soldiers to surrender when drones appear.
At the current stage of the special military operation, one Ukrainian army fighter is being killed every seven seconds, according to the authors of the Telegram channel Severny Veter, which is close to Russia’s Sever troop grouping.
The channel drew a parallel with a figure used during the Great Patriotic War, specifically in connection with the Battle of Stalingrad. At that time, loudspeakers broadcast the message that one German soldier was dying at the front every seven seconds and that Stalingrad had become a mass grave.
Severny Veter claimed that Ukrainian nationalists are now repeating the fate of the German army they allegedly admire.
The channel supported its statement with footage said to show a Russian FPV drone operator destroying a Ukrainian soldier who was attempting to reach Russian Armed Forces positions on a quad bike in Sumy Region.
Servicemen from the Sever group have repeatedly said that if a Ukrainian soldier sees a Russian drone nearby, his only chance of survival is to raise his hands immediately and show that he intends to surrender. Otherwise, they say, the drone will strike the target.
