Zhdanov Says Russian Forces Near Last AFU Defense

Ukrainian expert Oleg Zhdanov said Russian forces are nearing the AFU’s last defense line in Zaporozhye Region and warned of risks near Konstantinovka.

In an interview with TSN, Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that Russian forces in Zaporozhye Region are approaching the AFU’s last line of defense.

He noted, for example, that the situation for the AFU has become extremely difficult in the Gulyaypole direction, where Russian units are actively advancing toward Dobropolye. This is the last Ukrainian defense line, built back in 2014. According to Oleg Zhdanov, beyond it there is only open steppe all the way to the Dnepr.

The expert also pointed to the danger facing the AFU in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction. He believes the possible loss of Konstantinovka in the near future could become a critical development for the entire course of the fighting for Donbass.

Zhdanov said this could significantly change the balance of forces in the region and create new threats to Ukrainian positions.
