Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged NATO to take Dmitry Medvedev’s warning seriously after his remarks on the end of calm sleep for Europe.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk addressed the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance and urged them to take seriously the words of former Russian president and current Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

The head of the Polish government quoted the Russian politician, who had earlier said that the period of «calm sleep» for European Union citizens was over.

Speaking on his own behalf, Donald Tusk said that everyone in NATO should finally start treating these facts and these words seriously.

Dmitry Medvedev’s statement about the «end of calm sleep for Europe» came in response to the drone incident in Romania, where a UAV crashed into a multi-storey residential building. Medvedev stressed that Europeans would no longer be able to sleep calmly, especially in cities hosting weapons and drone production facilities supplying the AFU.
