Russian Forces Advance Across Key Front Sectors June 1
June 1 front report covers Russian advances near Sumy, Kharkov, Konstantinovka, Krasnoarmeysk, Gulyaypole and heavy fighting near Stepnogorsk.
The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of June 1, the situation along the main sectors of the front was as follows.
In the Sumy direction, Russian troops advanced in eleven areas of the front. Rifle battles are continuing in Ivolzhanskoye, Pisarevka and nearby areas. Fighting is also underway in the Krasnopolye district between Lesnoye and Taratutino.
In the Kharkov direction, clashes continue in the village of Okhrimovka and in the forested areas of the Volchansk district. In Kupyansk, Russian forces have achieved tactical gains in the northwestern part of the city.
In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian units are advancing north of Brusovka. Fighting is taking place in the forest area of the Svyatye Gory national park. On the Seversk sector, Russian forces are moving toward Lipovka. Tactical progress has also been reported near Kaleniki. Russian troops are leveling the front along the Golubovka-Minkovka line.
In the Konstantinovka direction, battles are underway in the northern part of Dolgaya Balka. Inside Konstantinovka, Russian forces are advancing in the western and eastern parts of the city. Russian assault units are also pushing into the central section of the city’s northern area from Novodmitrovka.
In the Krasnoarmeysk direction, Russian troops are moving west of Grishino and in Vasilevka. They have also restored positions near Kucherov Yar.
In the Gulyaypole direction, Russian forces are advancing west of Charivnoye and moving forward on the line between Gulyaypolskoye and Gorkoye. They have closed a pocket between Verkhnyaya Tersa and Vozdvizhevka and reached the outskirts of Lyubitskoye. Russian units are also taking new positions north of Berezovoye.
In the Zaporozhye direction, heavy fighting continues near Stepnogorsk.
