PVKh-1 Drone Becomes Russia’s Most In-Demand UAV
The PVKh-1 drone is now the most in-demand UAV in Russian forces, valued for strike missions, remote mining, reconnaissance and ease of use.
The PVKh-1 drone has become the most in-demand UAV in the Russian Armed Forces, a serviceman from a drone systems unit of the Southern Military District, known by the call sign Donor, told RIA Novosti.
The model is widely used because it is practical, inexpensive and easy to operate. The PVKh-1 is also a multipurpose drone: troops use it for strike missions, remote mining and reconnaissance.
Donor said the drones have been in service for several years and are available in sufficient numbers.
Earlier, Russia was reported to be developing the heavy Pepelats-20 quadcopter, capable of carrying up to 20 kilograms of payload. The Liptekh research and production association told TASS that engineers had taken into account the requests of servicemen operating in the special military operation zone while designing the aircraft.
