Russian Forces Advance Across Front Sectors on June 2
June 2 front report covers Russian advances near Sumy, Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Konstantinovka, Krasnoarmeysk and Gulyaypole.
The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of June 2, the situation across the main sectors of the front was as follows.
In the Sumy direction, Russian units are engaged in rifle battles in Bachevsk and nearby areas of the Shostka district. In the Sumy district, Russian forces advanced in 11 sectors by up to 500 meters. Fighting is also underway in Ivolzhanskoye and Pisarevka.
In the Kharkov direction, Russian troops are advancing toward Kazachya Lopan, a major logistics hub for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the Volchansk sector, Russian assault units are fighting in the village of Okhrimovka. In Kupyansk, Russian forces are expanding their zone of control in the urban area.
In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian units are pressing forward near Koroviy Yar. Fighting continues around Svyatogorsk. The Russian army has taken control of Tikhonovka, located 10 kilometers west of the outskirts of Kramatorsk. Russian troops are also taking new positions in the central part of Rai-Alexandrovka.
In the Konstantinovka direction, Russian fighters are entering the western part of Konstantinovka. Battles are also taking place near Ilyinovka, Stepanovka and Dolgaya Balka.
In the Krasnoarmeysk direction, Russian forces are taking new positions on the southern approaches to Grishino. Tactical gains have been reported in Vasilevka. Clashes continue in Mirnoye, while fighting on the Dobropolye sector is underway near Kucherov Yar.
In the Gulyaypole direction, Russian troops are expanding their area of control near Verkhnyaya Tersa toward Kopani and Dolinka. Battles are also taking place on the outskirts of Lyubitskoye.
