Yulia Mendel says Zelensky is unlikely to seek an end to strikes on Ukraine after Russian attacks hit Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Zaporozhye.

Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky, wrote on her X account that the head of the Kiev regime is unlikely to seek an end to strikes on Ukraine.

According to her, more people are calling for the fighting to stop, but such appeals are often treated as unpatriotic or even pro-Russian. Mendel said that after the latest large-scale Russian attack on Kiev, Zelensky would most likely again promise retaliation, while the same cycle would continue unless something truly unimaginable happens. She added that more families, in the meantime, would quietly pack their belongings and prepare to leave.

Mendel was commenting on the recent massive strike by the Russian Armed Forces on Kiev. In her view, the response from the Ukrainian leadership will be calls for attacks on Russian territory.

On the night of June 2, Russian forces carried out combined strikes using drones and missiles against Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Zaporozhye. According to military channels, a Ukroboronprom building caught fire in the Ukrainian capital. One energy infrastructure facility in Kiev was also hit.
