An American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone was spotted over the Black Sea near Crimea, Novorossiysk, and Gelendzhik, monitoring coastal areas after takeoff from Italy.

An American RQ-4B Global Hawk strategic drone was once again spotted over the Black Sea, according to the Telegram channel Voennaya Khronika, which cited data from Flightradar24. The aircraft was detected near Crimea, as well as close to the Russian coastline in the areas of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik.

Reports indicate the drone was actively monitoring coastal zones. It is believed to have taken off from the Sigonella airbase in Italy.

U.S. drones of this type have repeatedly conducted surveillance missions over the Black Sea, and their flights have often been linked to Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.

The RQ-4 Global Hawk is among the Pentagon’s most advanced reconnaissance UAVs. It can cover more than 20,000 kilometers and remain airborne for up to 36 hours without landing.
