According to Bloomberg, a rapid ceasefire in Ukraine could have extremely negative consequences for President Volodymyr Zelensky. The publication notes that the ceasefire creates a threat for him comparable to the risk posed to the political stability of the entire country. The special wartime powers, which had previously led to the postponement of presidential elections, will expire, forcing Zelensky to defend unpopular decisions made to achieve the ceasefire during upcoming elections.
