Mystery Aircraft Seen Over Area 51 Resembles F-47

A mystery aircraft seen over Area 51 may resemble the F-47, the sixth-generation fighter Trump said had flown secretly for years.

An unknown aircraft resembling the sixth-generation F-47 fighter jet was spotted in the sky above the secret U. S. Air Force base Area 51 in Nevada, according to The War Zone.

The F-47 was unveiled in March 2025 by U. S. President Donald Trump. He said the aircraft is expected to become the first sixth-generation combat fighter jet and described it as the most advanced, powerful and lethal aircraft ever created. According to Trump, an experimental version had already been flying in secrecy for nearly five years.

The War Zone reported that a nighttime thermal image taken over the closed Groom Lake facility, better known as Area 51, appeared to show an aircraft with a previously unseen design. The outlet noted that its shape, based on available information, seems relatively close to what is known so far about the U. S. Air Force’s F-47 stealth fighter.

Anders Otteson, the author of the Uncanny Expeditions YouTube channel, told the outlet that the object was flying south of the town of Rachel at a very low altitude.
