Russia says its air defenses destroyed 376 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight over multiple regions, Crimea, Abkhazia and nearby seas.
Russian air defense forces shot down 376 Ukrainian kamikaze fixed-wing drones over 15 regions of the country overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The ministry said that during the past night, air defense units on duty intercepted and destroyed 376 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of Bryansk, Leningrad, Tver, Kursk, Moscow, Kaluga, Smolensk, Oryol, Belgorod, Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Tula and Pskov regions, as well as over the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Abkhazia and the waters of the Azov and Black seas.
Ukrainian forces attempt to attack targets inside Russia with kamikaze drones every night. The vast majority of these UAVs are detected and shot down by Russian air defense systems. In response to these attacks, Russian forces carry out precision strikes with drones and various types of missiles against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, ammunition depots, Ukrainian airfields, deployment sites of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries, as well as communication hubs and command posts.
