Mobilized Ukrainian Soldiers Shoot Dead Company Commander in Glukhov
Russian security structures say a group of recently mobilized Ukrainian soldiers shot dead their company commander in Glukhov, Sumy region.
In the city of Glukhov in the Sumy region, a group of recently mobilized Ukrainian soldiers, according to Russian security structures, shot dead the commander of their company.
A TASS source said the killed officer was a native of Pavlograd, Ukrainian Armed Forces Senior Lieutenant I. Sychev. It is reported that after killing the officer, the deserters managed to escape. They are currently being searched for by the Ukrainian military police. Searches are being carried out in the homes of local residents in connection with this. Notably, according to unofficial data from sources in Ukraine, local civilians are increasingly helping draft dodgers and deserters avoid capture, being sent to the front, and senseless death on the front line.
It should be recalled that general mobilization has been in force in Ukraine since February 2022 and has been repeatedly extended by the authorities. Men are being caught in the streets by military enlistment office employees, known as TCC, and forcibly sent to the front, which only contributes to the growth of desertion in the troops and hatred toward the Ukrainian authorities. Despite all these measures, Ukrainian troops continue to suffer from a chronic shortage of personnel.
