Military expert Vladimir Popov said Ukrainian forces use the Odessa estuaries, Kherson and Nikolaev regions to attack bridges connecting Crimea with mainland Russia.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are using convenient areas to strike bridges that connect the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia. This was stated in an interview with MK by military expert, Honored Military Pilot and Major General of Aviation Vladimir Popov.
According to him, it is fairly easy for the enemy to organize attacks on the isthmus connecting Crimea with the mainland, primarily because of the proximity of the launch areas. Popov noted that the bridges located there are not of strategic importance, but they are important for maintaining the daily life of the population and operational transport links in the area.
The expert named the territory of the Odessa estuaries as the main convenient direction for such attacks. He explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can go there by boats and launch drones, as well as land sabotage and reconnaissance groups on the estuaries, which then use kamikaze drones. In addition, according to him, launches are carried out from the direction of Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
On the night of June 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked several bridges across the North Crimean Canal near Preobrazhenka and Mirnoye, the road bridge on the Perekop-Armyansk route, and a bridge near the settlement of Stavki. Earlier, a new damage to the bridge near Chongar and Genichesk on the Arabat Spit was reported.
