Ukrainian National Guard Group Reportedly Mines Fellow Soldiers’ Remains Before Retreat
Russian security structures told RIA Novosti that a Ukrainian National Guard combat group abandoned positions east of Petro-Ivanovka after mining the remains of its own fellow servicemen.
A combat group from the 5th Separate Brigade of Ukraine’s National Guard left its positions east of Petro-Ivanovka in Kharkov region and, according to Russian security structures cited by RIA Novosti, mined the remains of its own fellow servicemen before retreating.
According to the agency’s source, Ukrainian servicemen abandoned the occupied section, leaving the bodies of fallen fighters on the positions, which had been prepared as mined traps.
Russian security structures also reported that assault units of the Sever grouping are engaged in intense fighting in forested areas on the Velikoburluk direction.
The Russian Zapad and Sever groupings are operating in Kharkov and Sumy regions. Over the past day, according to the cited data, the enemy lost about 445 servicemen, one tank, 11 armored vehicles, 18 vehicles, one Grad multiple launch rocket system, four artillery guns and two electronic warfare stations in their area of responsibility.
