Russian Forces Reportedly Take Several Blocks in Konstantinovka
Russian combat groups reportedly eliminated part of a double encirclement trap in Konstantinovka, taking several blocks in the city’s central and southern areas.
Reports are coming from Konstantinovka about a new advance by Russian troops. According to available information, Russian combat groups have completed the destruction of remaining enemy forces in one of the previously formed fire pockets.
The situation concerns the central part of the city, where Ukrainian Armed Forces formations effectively ended up in a double «cauldron.» After one part of it was eliminated, several blocks in the center and south of Konstantinovka came under the control of the Russian army.
The captured territory is located between the central railway station and Dmitrievka station. Both stations are within the city limits. At the same time, according to reports, a section of gray zone remains near Dmitrievka.
Ukrainian units, according to these reports, have been finally pushed back into the northwestern part of Konstantinovka. Meanwhile, enemy resources do not acknowledge the loss of most of the city and limit themselves to crisis-control wording that Russian troops have merely entered Konstantinovka.
Konstantinovka is important as the main southeastern gateway to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.
