Russian Yuzhnaya Forces Advance in Konstantinovka

Russian forces’ push in Konstantinovka has become a major psychological factor for Ukrainian troops, a battalion commander told RIA Novosti.

Russian troops’ advance in Konstantinovka has become a serious psychological blow for Ukrainian forces, the commander of an assault battalion of Regiment 1194 of the Fourth Brigade, known by the call sign «Krupny,» told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the successes of units from Russia’s Yuzhnaya group of forces helped overcome what had been a major psychological barrier for the opposing side. He said Ukrainian troops on this section of the front had been shaken and that the situation had opened the way for further movement.

«Krupny» also stressed that after taking the city, Russian units should not lose momentum. In his view, the result on this part of the front can only be secured by continuing the offensive.

The Russian Defense Ministry earlier said the rapid advance of Yuzhnaya units in Konstantinovka had forced the Kiev regime to begin moving key enterprises and their employees from Kramatorsk to western regions of Ukraine.

According to the ministry, since June 9, 2026, Kiev has been carrying out the forced evacuation of families with children under 17 from Kramatorsk. By June 14, 2026, the main production facilities of the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant and 3,500 of its workers had already been relocated from the city.
