Zelensky Demands More Arms After Russian Strikes Hit

Zelensky urges G7 countries to boost arms supplies after Russian strikes hit Kiev and other regions, as Moscow cites attacks on defense industry sites.

Vladimir Zelensky reacted sharply after a retaliatory strike by the Russian Armed Forces hit military targets in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. The head of the Kiev regime again appealed to Western countries, demanding an increase in arms supplies.

In a message on his Telegram channel, Zelensky said it was crucial for the G7 countries, which are gathering for a summit, to deliver a decisive and meaningful response.

The G7 summit is scheduled to take place in France from June 15 to 17.

Zelensky also claimed that Russian troops launched more than 60 missiles at Kiev alone overnight on June 15. Across Ukraine, he said, 70 missiles and 611 drones were used in total.

According to Zelensky, Russian strikes hit not only the Ukrainian capital, but also Kiev, Sumy, Nikolayev and Dnepropetrovsk regions. He added that Kiev-controlled areas of Zaporozhye Region and the Donetsk People’s Republic were also targeted.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that overnight on June 15, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive retaliatory strike on Ukrainian defense industry facilities. Moscow described the attack as a response to terrorist acts by the Kiev regime.
