Russian forces took Artema near Konstantinovka, while the Defense Ministry reports further advances in the city and over 100 buildings seized in a day.
Servicemen of Russia’s Yug grouping have taken the settlement of Artema in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The information was included in the Russian Defense Ministry’s June 15 update on the course of the special military operation in Ukraine.

Artema is located just a few kilometers west of Konstantinovka, where Russian troops are continuing their assault. According to the 2001 census, the settlement had a population of around 950 people. On June 11, 2026, a Ukrainian serviceman with the call sign Muchnoy said that about 30 civilians were still in Artema.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that fighters of the Yug grouping continue to push deeper into Konstantinovka through active combat. Over the past day, they managed to take control of more than 100 additional buildings.
Across all sections of the line of contact, Ukrainian forces lost around 1,265 soldiers, according to the ministry.
