Russian Strikes Hit Ukraine Military Sites Overnight
Russian overnight strikes hit military-linked sites in Shakhterskoye, Nikolaev and Kharkov regions, targeting airfields, transport and energy facilities.
On the night of June 15–16, the Russian army carried out another series of strikes on military-related facilities in territories controlled by the Kiev regime.
One of the targets was the settlement of Shakhterskoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Multiple attack drones were used against several facilities located there. According to available information, warehouse premises and vehicles used by Ukrainian forces for military purposes were hit. Several fires were recorded in Shakhterskoye after the Russian attack.
Reports also point to strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the Nikolaev and Kharkov regions. During the overnight operation, Russian forces focused in particular on military airfields, transport infrastructure and energy facilities.
At the same time, the June 16 night attack was smaller in scale than the previous large-scale strike.
A day earlier, Russian troops had carried out a massive group attack on facilities in Kiev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and other Ukrainian cities.
